Environmental benefits

The Aracruz Forestry Partners Program has an environmental license: it is a program designed for new generations since it seeks to ensure the supply of wood for future requirements.

Aracruz invests in the program because it knows that by protecting nature it is guaranteeing its own future as a company. Clearly, the success of any project that is based upon natural resources depends mainly upon the capacity to use these resources in properly so that they will be always available, both today and tomorrow. For this purpose, Aracruz ceaselessly conducts research into silviculture, biotechnology and forestry management.

The result of this research is available to the program's participants since Aracruz offers partners wide-ranging orientation about environmentally sustainable techniques for the management and cultivation of eucalyptus trees, helping them preserve soil fertility on their properties.

The company also carries out environmental monitoring of the water and wildlife resources of the Forestry Partners Program; the results are sent to the federal government's representative office in Espírito Santo and the state's Environmental Secretariat.
