Technical assistence
The Aracruz imprint of quality in terms of products, services and management processes is also present in everything involving the Forestry Partners Program, including permanent technical assistance for participating farmers.
To do this, Aracruz maintains offices located in the municipalities of Marechal Floriano, Ibatiba, Colatina, Santa Teresa, Barra de S. Francisco, Aracruz, São Mateus and Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in Espírito Santo; Conselheiro Pena and Governador Valadares, in Minas Gerais; Posto da Mata (Nova Viçosa), in Bahia, with technicians, forest engineers and agronomists. Thus, the company ensures the existence of teams ready to orient and visit partners whenever necessary.
In July 2004, Aracruz and the government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul signed an agreement for financing eucalyptus plantations through the company's Forestry Partners Program. Rio Grande do Sul offers advantages for growing eucalyptus trees, such as specialized manpower and appropriate climate and soil conditions.
